I feel really good about this project and feel like I am learning a lot. Working for a client is totally different from making work for myself. I am enjoying the back and forth dialogue and interaction via email with Nick. He is very optimistic and positive and I like that about him. I can also tell that he is very driven and knows what he wants. I also respect and look up to the fact that he is the editor of such an interesting and powerful magazine. I am very honored to get to work with him.
-Also- life is creation just as art is creation! I feel ecstatic about taking control and 'creating' my life for the first time! Creativity should be applied in all areas of life, not just in the studio. I don't want to limit myself in anyway. I want to be fully engaged in all areas of my life. I want to be alive! I want to feel alive! I want to wake up and feel ecstatic about being alive! I want to be excited for the absolutely amazing opportunities that are going to present themselves to me during the day! We are all artists! We MUST create our lives! Our realities! If not, then we are just here, and I don't think its enough just to be here. If I am truly an artist, then this is perhaps THE MOST important thing I have to realize! That not only is art about making paintings, but about living life, interacting with people and with the world around me, finding myself, and most importantly, being happy!!!
